Finally, a garden update

Yes, I know it's been several months since I posted.  I could never remember to bring my camera with me to the garden to take pictures of its progress, but last night I finally did.  I find it amazing that the garden has gone from this:

to actually looking like a garden.  From the pictures it kind of just looks like a bunch of green, since
even the fruit that's starting to grow on some of the plants is still green, but in about a month we should have tons of fresh vegetables to eat.  When this picture was taken the only things in the garden were some dead twigs and a hose.  Now we have:
Lettuce, lots and lots of lettuce

Little baby tomatoes
A tiny little pepper
Beets
Beans
Butternut squash.  Something tells me these have a long way to go before we'll actually have any squash.

Cucumber plants.  They're just starting to get buds, so we should have tiny cucumbers soon.

So, despite the delay in planting due to the unseasonably cold and rainy weather this spring, the garden is off to a good start.
